Another ex-large sweater
A couple of days ago, I posted a thrifted skirt and sweater that I’d adjusted to fit. Here’s another thrifted sweater that’s been getting a lot of wear.
The sweater started out life much larger than it is now. I don’t know its fabric content or what size it was, as its last owner was a tag-hater who cut all the labels out. I also can’t show you before shots because I keep forgetting to get pictures before I dive into a project. I have to work on that!
As with my last sweater, I took this one in by sewing from the wrist to the hip along the side seams. This resulted in some extra gathered fabric at the armpits, but I seriously doubt anyone besides me notices this.
The skirt was a Christmas gift from my sister and her fiancée. Isn’t it cute with the polka dots? I hemmed it up three inches to wear with leggings, but I didn’t cut off the extra fabric. When I make the leap to having a real career, I can let it back down and keep wearing it.
Burcu
It really is a cute outfit, saved it as a future project.
Kait
This is a cute outfit, and I love your skirt! You are seriously the queen of refashions!
